Supporting Alabama Families with Autism
Autism Support of Alabama offers family grants to help alleviate financial burdens for families with loved ones diagnosed with autism. These grants provide reimbursement of up to $250 for various ASD-related expenses.
Qualifying Expenses
- In-home respite services by individuals aged 18 or older, not living in the same household.
- Swim lessons by certified instructors.
- Co-pays for ABA services provided by licensed providers.
- Safety devices to prevent wandering and elopement.
- Camps-licensed Day camps and Summer camps.
Limited Grants, Two Cycles a Year
Family grants are available during two grant cycles each year. Applications are accepted from November 1-30 and May 1-31. Recipients are chosen through a lottery system. Please note that applications received outside these dates will not be considered.
