Empowering Individuals with Autism
Autism Support of Alabama offers post-secondary scholarships to individuals with a formal diagnosis of autism. These scholarships provide financial support up to $1000 for those enrolled in or accepted to a post-secondary program.
Eligibility

Formal diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Enrollment or acceptance letter to a college, university, vocational/technical school, or day/job training program.
Application Process
- Applications available from April 1 through April 30, 04/1/24-04/30/24.
- ASA scholarship committee reviews each application.
- Recipients will be notified.
Required Documentation
- Formal Diagnosis:
Provide documentation of your autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. - Enrollment or Acceptance:
Verification letter from your educational institution or program. - Letters of Recommendation:
Submit at least 3 letters, including one from a professional who can vouch for your suitability for the program and why you deserve the scholarship. - Video Submission:
Share a brief, two-minute video introducing yourself, your chosen program, and your aspirations.
